Midland Championships 2020

What a great start to the New Year as three of our players compete at the Midland Championships 2020. Evan Price taking Gold, Laurence Hill taking Silver and Alex Lee taking Bronze. Well done boys, fantastic performance from you all. 

CCMA Announcement- This Saturday 25th January 2020 will be the last session, freeing coaches to support our ever growing team of competitive players that compete on Saturdays. Classes will be moved to Sunday from 10.00am-12.00 at CCMA Dojo. 

Join CCMA Judo Introduction to Judo for Adults

CCMA will be delivering an 8 week introduction course to Judo specifically for Adults. The course will start on the Tuesday 1st March 2020. Classes are held at CCMA dojo, ocean park, ocean way, Cardiff, CF24 5HF from 7.00pm-8.30pm. British Championships 2019

Wow! What a fantastic performance from players at Ccma who represented their families, friends, club and country at the British Championships 2019! Brilliant judo spirit from Evan Price, Laurence Hill and Alex Lee! Well done to Alex who achieved 7th place in his weight category, Laurence who took home a Bronze in his weight category and Evan who took home a silver medal in his first British Champion competition. All at CCMA are very proud! Well done boys!

Welsh Closed Championships 2019

What a fantastic performance from students at CCMA taking 19 medals at the Welsh Closed Championship taking 8 Golds, 4 Silvers and 7 Bronzes! Everyone showed courage and determination!! Brilliant success for you all, earning your place on the Welsh squad 2020. Also big well done to Laurence who was awarded judoka of the day!

Fantastic week for CCMA!

Students fought really well representing their country in Germany! Well done to Laurence who took home a Gold. Also great determination from Evan, Alex, Laurence, Carrie Anne and Morgan who competed at the Welsh Open!

Following these competitions we had a successful Judo Halloween Camp with 49 on the mat. Many thanks to Jordanna and Holly for coming down to support the students achieving their next grades.

Hey Judo Peeps!
Great classes yesterday at Ysgol Pencae and Bryn Hafod Primary School. Also fantastic classes at our dojo yesterday, well done to students who competed over the weekend at the EGH Judo Competition. Good luck to Evan, Laurence and Alex who will be representing their country in Germany next weekend.
Today CCMA Coaches will be delivering classes at St.Bernadettes followed by our evening classes at the dojo. Junior class starts at 6.30pm and Adult & Cadet class starts at 7.30pm.

CCMA Judo Christmas Schools Party & Awards Ceremony 2019

CCMA Judo Christmas Party is now fully booked.

Really looking forward to this Saturday at the Mecure Hotel in Llanedryn. Students and parents can arrive at 7.00pm to sign in. During the party there will be a buffet, awards ceremony, disco and a raffle will be drawn. Prizes are fantastic.

First Prize: 2 Course meal for 4 guests with bottle of wine or non alcoholic beverage at Caluccios Italian Restaurant.

Second Prize: 2 hampers from Caluccios Italian restaurant worth £50.00 each.

Third Prize: Sunday Lunch for 4 guests at the Village hotel.

Plus many more.

Tickets are £1.00 each and raffle will be drawn on the 7th December.

Common Wealth Games 2019

Fantastic weekend for students Evan Price Laurence Hill and Can Evans at CCMA who represented their country at the Common Wealth Games 2019. The boys fought really well and performed fantastic at such a young age being the lightest in their weight category. Brilliant achievement for all of them. Laurence Hill was awarded a Bronze medal after relentless training and determination. Well done boys you've made you parents, family, CCMA and your country very proud.
CCMA Schools Residential Holiday at Rock UK 2019
Just wanted to say what a fantastic Residential Schools Judo training camp at Rock Uk. Students did brilliant and worked really hard, from 5k runs everyday to building rafts, Rocking climbing, Abseiling, Kayaking and of course lots of Judo! Thank you to all the coaches and cadet leaders that came to support CCMA and also a big thank you to the Rock Uk instructors that helped the students gain many skills. Looking forward to next year!

Japan Visit 2019
What a fantastic turn out yesterday at CCMA Dojo with a special visit from Japanese coaches and fellow Dan Grades Toby Lewis, Alan Jones, Ian, Stan, Clive Rees, Anthony Beavan and many more. Welsh Pre Cadet Team Selection 


Just a quick message to say well done to Evan Price, Laurence Hill, Alex Lee and Kai Evans who have been selected for the Welsh Pre-Cadet Team for the Adler Cup 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany from Friday 25 October to Sunday 27 October 2019. Fantastic achievement boys! Well deserved!

CCMA Competition & British Teams Championship 2019


What a great weekend for CCMA! The Schools Judo Tournament was a success, well done to students that had attended their first competition showing courage and determination. Looking forward to the next one!
Also a big well done to the Welsh Team with Alex Lee and Carrie-Anne that attended the British Teams Championship 2019 in Scotland over the weekend. Fantastic performance from the players, gaining experience.

CCMA Judo Centre of excellence based in Cardiff has been running for 5 years. We have now grown into the biggest club in Cardiff. During this time students have been selected for the welsh squad and have represented their schools, families and Country Nationally and Internationally. Following 12 months of grass roots Judo development across Newport and Caerphilly we are delighted to announce our new club CCMA Judo 2. Our new club will provide competition training for students across Newport and Caerphilly to train locally. Hey Judo Peeps!
What a fantastic weekend! CCMA students competed at the EGH Mini Mon Championships on Saturday morning at Tonrefail Leisure Centre. Students showed determination, persistence and respect winning 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. Great competition, see you all at the next one!
Also great class at the club on Saturday, thanks to coaches Katie & Alys. 

Today CCMA Coaches will be delivering our popular Project Shield PE classes at Ton-Yr-Ywen Primary School followed by after school classes at St.Martins School and St.Bernadettes Primary School. This evening is the Junior class from 6.30pm and the Adult & Cadet class at 7.30pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Bring your Ippons!

Heres the CCMA Judo news from last week

Tom is still in Australia went parachute Jumping, and followed that up with a vist to train with Australian Judo, said it was one of the toughest training session he's ever done and he loved it.

Secondaly wanted to say a massive well done to the 15 students that attended the Welsh Squad Development Training Session on Saturday, you guys worked your sox's off and did us proud, I know there were 10 players from CCMA that could not make it, don't worry you guys will be top of the list next month.

Next up well done to Harry, Jack, Jordanna, Theo, Luke, who along with myself attended the club visit to EGH Judo last night, A warm welcome and professional run Randori session. Will definitely keep these club visits going great for players to train with new partners.

Also have to say a massive well done to Evan, who attended Welsh Squad session in the morning and then left to compete at Patchway Judo Competition Bristol, were he had 5 fights and won 4 to take silver. A very determined young man with a great future in Judo.

Also while we had 15 players at the squad session we also had another 35 players on our mat at CCMA Judo, Big shout out to Luke and Katie for covering this class, while Jack was at squad session, they did a great job.

Well done to Jack who herd last week that he has been selected to represent Wales in the under 66Kilo senior team, at the British Teams Championships. Good luck, we know you will do us proud and leave it all on the mat.

Big welcome back to our coach Clive Rees, who returned to the mat last week following a his second joint replacement surgery, this guy is a legend one of the most humble resilient & Tuff guys I know, its a pleasure to have you back on the mat Mr Rees.

Finally well done to Theo, Laurance & Evan that have all been selected for the Welsh Team going to compete in Belgium. Give it your all because your all is plenty.

2018 Schools Easter Judo Camp 

Congratulations to everyone who attended, completed and survived our 2018 Easter Judo Camp. Well done to Emily Jones for achieving Most Improved player of 2018 for showing complete commitment, Judo Spirit and hard work! Students can collect their grades during school and club classes. 

EGH Club Visit
